I cannot put into words how vibrant my work life has been since I started working with ACE Charity. It is essentially the hunger it awoke in me to want to do more and not be mediocre, the need to constantly make a positive difference in the lives of people and plant smiles on the faces of everyone we come in contact with. It just becomes a part of you; you just can’t help it! The people we become friends with, and the things we do that give us memories to treasure for a lifetime.
So much has happened in my time at ACE Charity and every moment is precious to me. There was a lot of fun learning, and many great experiences. At first, I had some worries and challenges as my previous work experience had not taught me to be selfless but as things unfolded, I started to see the beauty in giving back just because.
I remember being assigned a task and after trying to complete the task the only way I knew how to execute it, I concluded it was impossible. Ms Kiki said to me “Impossible is nothing” and asked me to go try again. After several failed attempts, I figured it out! I remember doing a happy dance. The words of the founder to me were “You were created to be excellent; you cannot afford to be mediocre”. Truly, impossible is nothing.
I am delighted with the opportunity I have been given to work with such great minds who constantly give you the push you need to excel. I couldn’t be more pleased to have discovered a work environment full of warm people that welcome and respect people’s ideas and more importantly, a team that encourages you to be the best version of yourself you never imagined existed.
