ACE Radio School – A Trip to Adamawa

The team visited one of our ACE Radio School broadcast states- Adamawa, known as the land of beauty, in the past month. It was home to our team members for a couple of days. During their time there, they paid a visit to our listening group participants, a group that consists of out-of-school children who cannot go to regular schools and come together in a safe space to listen to our Radio School episodes. We also spoke with their parents to get feedback on the Radio School’s impact on their children. We had children who could barely speak English talk about their favourite ACE Radio School teachers and topics.

This is more than just a Radio School; it is hope for families who have zero access to quality education; it is smiles on the faces of children whose parents believed they will never smile again – it is the future looking bright.

We also have listening groups in Kaduna, Borno, and Sokoto.

The Noble Club is back!!!

The first Noble club session for the new school term was amazing. Thanks to Tolu Ogunlesi – the youth Special Adviser to the President on media – who facilitated this session. He engaged the pupils with knowledge about Nigeria and kept them on their toes throughout the session. The children learned what it means to be a patriotic citizen and gained general knowledge on what National Identity means.

The Noble club had certainly been missed during the holidays.

SALS Shoes

Children in a public primary school received new pairs of shoes donated with love from SALS shoes, U.K. The children who came to school with worn out old shoes went home with new shoes. They could barely contain their excitement. It’s moments like these that we love to see. They made memories, danced, and stomped their feet to showcase their new shoes. We simply cannot wait to distribute more!!!

Self- Starter Spin-off

Did you enjoy the Self- Starter Workshop we had in January?

We are back with something even more fascinating for you! On the 23rd of April, 2021, we started an online Self- Starter Spin-Off series with the theme – The 21st Century Professional, due to the Self-Starter Workshop’s resounding success in January. Now, you can attend our self-starter sessions wherever you are. Mr Emmanuel Bosah, a Program Manager at Neem Foundation, who was one of the speakers at the Self-Starter Workshop, was our first speaker for the maiden edition of the spin-off series. He gave valuable insights into what it means to be a professional.

We will have more expert professionals join this series. You do not want to miss this. Join our Facebook Group to watch –https://www.facebook.com/ACECharity/
